Okay, so Potluck is in 2 weeks! Sunday the 24th at 6:00? I'm flexible, though, if someone needs to change that. If everyone will PM me who plans on attending, I'll send out directions to my apartment. Once I know how many people are planning on coming, I can put together a list of what kinds of things we'll need and let people sign up for something so we don't end up with 8 desserts or 8 pans of veg lasagna :)

Hooray, I'm excited!

Yay!

One ittybitty request- I know Thebunni and I (as vegans) would appreciate it if everybody would be clear if they've used any dairy or anything in their whatever-they-bring. Pleeeease? Thanks. :)

I'm thinking I'll either bring vegan lasagna or paella.

Everything I'm bringing will be Vegan. :)

We're going to bring Michele's black bean salad. It's vegan-friendly.

It's pretty common at the vegan potlucks I've been to here in Illinois that people bring a list of ingredients to place next to their dish. Just a suggestion. :)

I had a great time tonight, everybody! What a great idea this was.

I'm still ridiculously full. ALL of the food was awesome. I never eat that much but I also never get the chance to eat that much good food at one sitting!

I wonder if the closing ceremonies of the Olympics are still going?

Things I learned tonight:

1. Some wasabi paste has milk in it. :(
2. Black beans are indeed as good as I think they are, and are also useful for adding some color to one's drip pans on their stove.
3. Crunk nasty.
4. Eddie the cat is sometimes known by his alternate identity: Sex Ed
5. Guys in bicycle helmets with swaying gold butts on a phallic tower are best experienced in a group setting.
6. Texas Tea is not actually oil (as claimed by the Beverly Hillbillies) but rather it is properly made by adding lime-flavored Smirnoff and rum to iced tea. (It takes some getting used to, apparently)
7. People like paella :)
8. Cynic 2.0 likes to induce spontaneous drooling by placing Indian cookbooks in my hands. Said cookbook had to be forcibly removed for my own good, and that of the book.
9. We need to keep doing this, and often!

That's all I've got for now. Thanks for a good night, everybody.
