I'm in the process of moving to Monterey. And I'm sure if any of you live in this area or have lived here before, you know that "process" is a very generous way to describe the housing search... I've seen there's a Trader Joe's, a Whole Foods, and I know about Tillie Gort's. So now what does a vegan new to Monterey Bay do next?

Hi (7 months later).... so did you move to Monterey? I have family there but live a bit further up the coast in Santa Cruz. Go and visit Dharmas in Capitola. It's the best veggie / vegan restaurant ever. Huge menu, huge portions, low prices...

Hi. Yes, I did move to Monterey. I'll keep Dharmas in mind next time I'm up on that side of the bay. I'm finding it hard to make the time to LEAVE Monterey with my schedule. :/ I didn't make it up to Santa Cruz until about a month ago, but it'd be nice to spend more time there.
