I was just browsing some classifieds and came across this:
http://classifieds.ozfreeonline.com/Pets-Livestocks/Free-animals/33677/CAPUCHIN-MONKEYS----.html
I am disgusted, are we turning into America where we must have exotic pets? Whats next, tigers and lions?
Surely there must be some sort of law against this, obviously those monkeys have been bred from wild sources.

That mokey is sooo cute! But would be even cuter in a forest somewhere. It's really not on. People can't even look after fish or dogs properly. I just don't see the point. Show off your cool pet to your friends, and then get annoyed and abandon it when it goes all Jumanji [wild] on you...

Yeah...imagine a badly trained monkey going munyuk in your back yard :D It'd serve them right.
Seriously though, I hope it isn't legal to own a Capuchin in Oz (probably is in NT) I couldn't find any info on the net, so I might make a few calls tomorrow to find out.

I had not heard of pets like that in Australia, i thought it was illegal here but they claim they are licensed?
