Basically this is just a whole bunch of stuff....

I'm getting ready to try and convince my town and county to say, actually not cut down trees for parking lots, not drive as much because despite the oil refinery in town saying "drive!" it's not good, and to get a recycling program back (the old one was done by some company.... people had to take things to them, there was no pickup, city didn't pay squat -- yet they canned it).

What I'm looking for is actual proof with sources that recycling is good. Trees are good. And not driving as much is better than driving 2 blocks to the park to walk/etc. Common sense can't be used as the town's full of mindless oil drinking zombies.

Any ideas?
