Inner west, Sydney
But my parents are in East Melbourne, I grew up in southern Sydney and as a kid I lived in the Blue Mountains and Adelaide!
I'm thinking of relocating to the Adelaide Hills when I finish my Masters and I am not tied to Sydney.

Near Wollongong, NSW South Coast, twixt the mountains and the sea. I am so damned lucky. I can look at the escarpment covered in sub-temperate rainforest from one window and the ocean from another. I love this place.

I guess I liked it, I was a kid. I spent most of my childhood wandering the bush near our house and walking up and down the valleys with my dad. He and his friend used to find us green tree snakes and other animals to watch, and we would identify every variety of spider.
On topic ... I'm learning places to go around Sydney for different things. Maybe we need a state based restaurant/shop review for vegan friendliness or something similar.

Great idea, whenever we're travelling interstate I'm always desperate for a local's recommendation on a good veg*n restaurant!

I live in Rowville, Melbourne. The public transport options are awful (only buses), but on the bright side I can ride my bike up to the Dandenong Ranges National Park.*
*If I can be bothered. That's a very big "If." :D

It gets easier to recognise the gangs, and dodge the bullets as you spend more time there. Speaking of stereotypes, how is the combined firework/porn shop going!? ;) [Please understand I'm kidding :p]:bobo:
