Thanks, I do feel incredibly lucky to have met them, they're great people, and I feel especially lucky because it's hard to meet good friends at all sometimes (esp. as a veggie or vegan!) let alone ones that share a lot of the same ideals, values and interests as yourself.....I wish I had of known them both, and Pix's hubbie years ago.

I had been curious a while, since you guys get on so well, and always pay each other out [in a really nice way! Kinda like how I am with some people. I tell them they know I like them if I make fun of them] :lol: :up:

I bought utensils today that will be for vegetarian food only :D $2 tongs...SO exciting. The silicone tip is even green. There's more but the tongs and the colander are the most exciting. :p

Ok I was going to put this into a blog, til I realised the blog had disappeared, and I don't know how to access it anymore, unless I need to pay to do so...

Went shopping today. This week I've had a couple of 11yo cousins staying here. Both are picky eaters. On Sunday my grandmother came over, and I prepared a massive salad [still a fair bit left]. Kept every vegetable seperate to keep everyone happy, but then I realised there weren't enough utensils. The chicken was far from one of the kids, so naturally when he used the tongs to get some, he didn't pick up the plate to bring it closer and the chicken went into the tomatoes. Then I had to be the paranoid-veghead who watches to make sure each utensil/spoon stays with it's specific food item. "Where are the chicken tongs? WHERE ARE THE CHICKEN TONGS!?!!?". In mums hand. Yeah well done Kristen.

And then yesterday I was helping get the salad onto the kids plates, and the evil boy cousin [usually great] was taking the diced tomato I had cut prepped for bruschetta. Long story short, I snapped. I had just enough, and I hate dicing, and although I was getting everyone elses dinners together, I would be the last to eat...and now I'd have to do more again. Decided that this is ridiculous, I need vego utensils, for vego food only. The wok was used for mince [wtf?] over the weekend and when I asked mum if it was clean she said "Yeah, but it needs another wash". What? Kristen is getting a wok for her birthday. Gabriel Gate please. The accent is hot so it makes me think the wok will be too. [get it?]. Today I got three pairs of tongs [with silicone, to distinguish from regular tongs], pasta spoon thing, salad utensils, peeler [I'm an idiot. What else do you use a vegetable peeler for?]

Unfortunately he lives next door, so if I do steal him, it could be hard to hide him. His family went away for the weekend, so we're dogsitting =D

have you ever noticed how often people start a thread asking for help on something, and then they dont bother to come back into the thread and say anything or show any gratitude to the people that helped them out?

Yeh, heaps. That's why I often can't be arsed helping people with anything not to do with vegetarianism cos sometimes you can tell by the way they ask the question that they've only got a superficial interest in what they're asking.
