Recycline "Preserve" Toothbrushes (http://www.recycline.com/recycling.html)
I've been using these and they're just fine. Apparently they're made from plastic scraps. A new brush comes every few months in the mail with a postage-paid envelope for you to send back your old one. They recycle the old brushes. (Stop saying "yuck"! They recycle the plastic; they don't reuse the brushes.)
I saw a documentary about it and apparently this process saves a lot of plastic from going into the landfill.

Looks like a pretty good idea - wish they did this sort of thing in the UK

I have their tongue cleaner. I didn't know it was made from recycled plastic. I just bought it because it looked nifty.
I might get their other products, I've been happy with their tongue cleaner so far.

They send a new brush? For free? I thought they just sent an envelope for the old one...

I really don't like their toothbrushes. The bristles are TOO soft and I don't like how it's angled. I keep mine in my travel case but I tend to be annoyed wherever I am that I didn't pack my other toothbrush.

Not for free. I bought a year’s supply, brushes to be sent gradually through the year, with the envelope to return the old one. It’s a good reminder to change my brush.

Did you buy the firm one? I like firm ones and their firm brush is a little softer than other brands’ “firm”, but still ok for me. Might not work for everyone.

You have to order them online as far as I know. I could've sworn I'd seen them at Goodness Direct, but I can't find them now. They do have them at www.ethicalsuperstore.com though.

Ah I didn't know you could do the years supply thing. I have tried the toothbrushes and razors. I especially like the razor because you can just get new heads for it and not worry over all the mailing things about.
