Anywhere in the West San Fernando Valley is best. Commutes in L.A. can be murder. :wall: You don't want to live too far from his job.

Glad you're coming to SoCal! We definitely have to have a meetup once you're here and settled in!

missj5-- My sister lives in LA, close to Sherman Oaks. That's a nice area.
Also, while Amy SF is right, commuting can be tough, my sister can make it across town in either direction on 20 minutes if she has to. She knows all the side streets. It's really funny, and quite a skill!

If anyone is willing to go to someplace fancier (meaning more expensive), I've been dying to try out Madeleine Bistro in Tarzana. :boobies:

Don't be silly. I live in Santa Monica and I drove all the way to Riverside last August for a meetup.

I only got to meet one other person (and a few animals), and I got lost several times, but it was worth it.

i live in Hollywood (Los Feliz specifically).

i'm down to meet up for pot lucks or restaurants!

there are plenty of amazing vegan/vegetarian restaurants in the L.A. area!

and yes, i love living here.

it has a lot of different things and places to see/do.

urban, forest nearby, beach nearby, weather is pretty okay.

RFD is awesome. I've tried almost everything on the menu. Prices are fair for the amount you get and the quality. The specials, you can't go wrong with!

More of you people in LA NEED to check this place out. There's one in Santa Monica which I prefer going to. More relaxed atmosphere.

There is an RFD cookbook too which is awesome as well!
