I don't have the numbers off hand for you, but this website http://www.newbalancewebexpress.com/?src=msnsearch has all of the specs info which include what the shoes are made out of. Just look around and click on any that you're interested in and look under the "specs".

I emailed New Balance a while ago and this was their response (probably some newer styles out now too):
Thank you for your interest in New Balance!
ALL of the following are made with synthetic materials. However
please note that we do use many types of different glues depending
on what is available. Please be aware that some of our glues
will contain animal products as many glues do. So just becauase
the shoe does contain all synthetic leather does not mean it
will be completely vegan. Also to clarify we do not mix real
and synthetic leathers on any shoe, it's either leather or synthetic
period.

Oatmeal or someone posted an extensive list in a thread somewhere. Do a search on "New Balance".

It was me, linking to an older post of Erin. She posted the list in this thread already though. She gets all the kudos, not me  :)

does anyone know if new balance is sweatshop made or not? When I have to get new sneakers, I want to look for something vegan and sweatshop-free.

I think most New Balance shoes are made in the U.S. Unfortunately, items made in the U.S. can still be from sweatshops as the factories are located on U.S. territories. But, as far as high quality, non-leather, ethically produced, and readily available running shoes go, New Balance is one of the better brands.

I've heard that NB doesn't use sweatshop labor, but i've never been able to confirm this myself..

isn't everywhere sweatshop *sigh*
if they were sweatshop free they would probably advertise it in some way. check the box at the store and see where the shoes are made. made in canada is a pretty good sign in my opinion. made in the us means there's a 50/50 chance.
eh.

well, first world-produced is probably the best we can buy as far as labor-exploitation. *sigh* Good to hear though.
