I cut my leg shaving and got blood on my khaki pants. I didn't notice it till it was dry and I tried washing it but I can't seem to get it out. Am I pretty much screwed now..especially since they're khakis? Anyone know of some stain removal tips?

Have you tried a Tide To Go Stick? I was able to get dried mustard out of a white shirt with one. I let the stain remover sit for a full day but it worked!
Another thing you can try is a trick I have seen a lot in the Scott Common Sense Community (http://ScottCSC.com), a site I work with. A lot of people swear by pouring some Hydrogen peroxide on blood stains, even if it is already dried. One of the submitted tips says:
"Hydrogen peroxide poured on a blood stain will remove almost all (if not all) of the blood, even if the blood has dried. Rub and rinse and reapply until almost all out. Then treat the stain with a laundry pretreating spray before putting it into the washing machine."
Let me know if it works!

hydrogen peroxide can work, but it has the ability to bleach stuff too, so watch out for that- do a test on a bit nobody will see when you wear it, first. you should do that before using anything, really.

Good point. I think with any stain removal trick it's always best to try it on a small patch that no one will see first (even store products usually recommend that on their packaging). I may send a message to the person who posted that to get more details to see if she has ever had problems with bleaching on any fabrics. The community members there are usually really helpful with troubleshooting like that :)

yeah, if it stains you could just flick a whole bottle of the stuff on it and make it a feature... people pay for stuff that looks all splattered- its cool, just like handmade, tie dye, and vintage, innit?

LOL oh so true! My mom used to get so mad at me when I would rip or stain jeans purposely back in the day to make them cooler. She was ready to kill me after ripping this one sweatshirt. Then she saw it on me again recently and finally admitted that the tear makes it look cooler...I guess now it's time to retire it if mom thinks it looks good! lol

I found this AMAZING stuff at Target called Folex. It gets everything out of the carpet or any fabric! I am never without it. It removes any kind of biological stain or anything else. :)
