I get occasional fundraising letters from The Vegetarian Resource Group. The one dated May 2008 contains this information that I thought would be of interest:
If you will be attending the American Dietetic Association Food and Nutrition Conference and Exposition in Chicago during October, please come by our outreach booth.
CHICAGO DINNER
Or attend our Thai Dinner on Sunday, October 26th at 6:30 p.m. The vegan menu will include Mee Krob (Thai Rice Sticks), Spring Rolls, and Fried Tofu with spicy sweet and sour plum sauce. Entrees include: Green Curry tofu, Pad Thai (rice noodles), Star's Tofu Delight (vegetables and straw mushrooms in a sauce), Fried Rice (no egg), Mixed Vegetables on Rice, Stir Fried Eggplant with basil and bean sauce, Charcoal Grilled Veggies Skewered with dip, Vegetable Tempura, and Wild Rice Medley with Nuts, dried tomato, and veggies. Dietitians, members, and the public are invited. Cost is $20. For details, e-mail vrg@vrg.org or call (410) 366-8343.
The letter does not indicate where the dinner is to take place, so you will have to contact them for that information. It all looks delicious, doesn't it?
