At Burgerville, we were the first to offer Gardenburger® products as vegetarian fare and we continue to be committed to offering you delicious, high quality vegetarian products.

We are now introducing The Oregon Harvest Burger.

Chez Gourmet--a woman-owned, Oregon company produces the patties. Marie, the owner of Chez Gourmet says, “Our purpose is to serve life and community, in part by providing healthy and enjoyable products using only quality natural and organic ingredients in an environmentally conscious atmosphere.”

These gluten and dairy free patties are made of natural wholesome vegetables and grains carefully selected to impart rich hearty flavor and good nutrition.

The Oregon Harvest Patty features: organic black rice, sweet potatoes, Anasazi beans, carrots, mushrooms, corn, onion, broccoli, celery and flax meal. It is served on a sesame seed bun with mayonnaise, ketchup, pickles, tomato and lettuce.

And coming in the near future --The Spicy Anasazi Bean Burger.

The Spicy Anasazi Bean Burger features organic black rice, Anasazi beans, carrots, crisp rice, cilantro, onion, garlic, jalapenos, egg white, rice bran, corn, soy sauce and seasonings. It is served with Tillamook Pepper Jack Cheese, chipotle mayonnaise, lettuce and tomato on a sesame seed bun.

I've had both. The regular one tastes great, the anasazi one, not so much. What's problematic to me is the low amount of protein in the Chez Gourmet patties. Most veggie patties have somewhere between 15g-25g, but both of the new ones only have 8g. That's pretty weaksauce for a meat replacement.
