Gardenburger Chik'n...

Hey guys, I'm a big fan of imitation Chicken stuff. I've had morniingstars and bocas..Has anyone had Gardenburgers? I've been trying to get some, but they dont have any of there chick'n stuff in my area. I want to try teh breaded chick'n, and hte chick'n grill. I did notice that a store a little bit far from my house, but worth going to if it its good supposidly has the chick'n grill (according to gardenburgers site). Has anyone tried any of these?

I haven't tried the Gardenburger chik'n but I am a big fan of all the Quorn brand products, especially the chik'n patties and the grillers. :)

I like Boca Chicken patties, Quorn is good but they aren't vegan so I switched to Bocas

My favorite chick'n is actually morningstars, they do such a great job I can barley tell the diff..but since I can't eat milk produtcs anymore bc my stomach I've been eating boca which are indeed good, especially their spicy pattie

Im not a big fan of pretend meat products (or real ones :) ) and I havent tried any other fake chicken but I LOVE the gardenburger Chikn griller patty things. I heat them with a little olive oil on both sides till darker on the outside and put in a bun with lots of leafy greens, some veganaise and mustard and sometimes avocado- my sometimes meat eating boyfriend also loves them!

I like the Gardenburger chicken griller. My favorite is the Boca breaded chicken patty. I put it in tthe microwave for 1 min. and then get it crispy in the toaster. Lots of vegannaise and tomato and romaine, and some red onion. So good!!!

Ya I went to the only store really in my area to try them its like 20 min away and when I got there they didn't have any!! Its all good though I got some other good stuff...hey thats a terrific idea to get it crispy fast, just throw it in the toaster, I usually microwave it like you and stick it in the oven on broil when I'm in a hurry. Do u mean the toaster oven or those bread toasting things?

I LOVE those Gardenburger Chik'n Grill patties! Holy moley. If, in omni days, you ever ate and enjoyed things like the BK Broiler (I think they call it a Chicken Whopper now...?), these are very, very similar in taste, and really pretty juicy and awesome. I like mine with a little vegenaise, sliced red onions, lettuce and tomato, and then, to make it really awesome, slices of avocado. Once in a while, I'll put a blob of BBQ sauce on it, too.:drool:

Mmmm, I love the Gardenburger Chik'n Grill patties. But I'd have to say my favorite veggie patties are the Gardenburger Herb Crusted Chicken flavor. I've only seen them at one store around my house, but if you are able to get them, they are really good. They have just enough seasoning that you could eat it plain with some veggies and rice or pasta, but the flavor is not too overpowering that it would interfere with any sauce you put on it.

Man I still havnt been able to try it bc Gardenburger is having a problem with the product and the stores around my area arent getting it..when did you buy it?

I was doing an internet search for these things and found your post and registered here on the forums. :)

I LOVE the Gardenburger Chik'n Grill patties, and I prepare them as you do, but I never seem to have lettuce and tomato on hand. I do the Vegenaise, and put on whole wheat. Some day I'll have to really plan ahead and do the lettuce, tomato, red onion, and maybe buns instead of sandwich bread. Good stuff, just finished my first box.

I usually get Morningstar but from what I remember the Boca patties aren't too different. Just be sure to cook them in the oven and not the microwave. They'll taste a lot better.

And if you haven't had them, the Morningstar buffalo wings and chik strips with honey mustard or bbq sauce are sooo good. :lick:
