Supposedly this is a brand new item put out by MorningStar farms.
I bought a box of these this past weekend and they are YUMMY!!!

It states on the box that they are "A sweet and spicy veggie pattie with hints of chilis, garlic, and ginger".

I try to steer clear of alot of processed mock type meat products, but when i saw these my curiosity was piqued, so I thought I'd give them a try.

If you like spicy food, then you'll love these. They do have a little "kick" to them while also getting a taste of the ginger, but not overly so.
You can actually SEE and defiantely taste the veggies, which is nice.
So, although they are pattie shaped, there is a distinction between them and a regular meat burger.

Here is a link, so that you can check out ingredients and such:

I had mine in a veggie style wrap, but I could defiantely see these working well in an egg roll type recipe or even like an Asian salad.

I keep seeing them in the store. I wish they were vegan. They look really good.

I tried them, and I didn't really like them. Maybe it's just me.

What store do you shop in? I've never heard of MorningStar Farms before.

Fromper, I hate that you didn't like them. Are you really a mock meat person though? I didn't know if it was the actual taste of them, the spices they used or the consistency that turned you off of them?
I try to keep away from it as much as possible, but it is nice to have something different for those days that I just don't want to cook, and these are so quick and easy.

MBlivesinatree, I'm not sure where you live, but here in Tennessee you can find MorningStar products just about anywhere. Kroger, Bi-Lo, Food Lion, Wal-mart, etc.
They are always kept in the frozen foods section and depending on the store, sometimes they will be mixed in with other like foods, OR they will have an entire section to themselves.
There are several MorningStar products, but none of the breakfast type foods were good to me.
Although my non-veg. 13 dd. requests the Chick'n patties and nuggets.

I'm ok with mock meats in general. I like Boca's chk'n patties, or however they spell it. I just didn't like the spices on this one. And the fact that they're not vegan, and I'm trying to stay as vegan as possible has turned me off to MF products in general lately.

MBlivesinatree, Morningstar Farms is one of the biggest makers of vegetarian frozen foods in the United States. I don't know if they're available in other countries, though, so if you're outside the USA, you might not be able to find them.
