Has anyone else tried Blimpie's MexiMax hot sub? It's somewhat new, and not on the menu in some stores. They do have it however, and it tastes awesome. This is probably the tastiest vegetarian fast-food solution I've come across yet, along with Einstein's bagels with hummus. It's awesome with the chipotle sauce, along with a little squirt of hot sauce and honey mustard.
Nutritionally it's pretty solid too. The high sodium content is a downer, but the amount of protein and fiber from something that tastes so good more than makes up for it.
MexiMax is a zesty blend of hearty black beans, peppers, and spices with a Southwestern flair
Nutritional infos:
425 calories
9g of fat, 1.5 saturated
23g Protein
65g Carbs total
7.3g Fiber
1012mg Sodium
It does contains egg whites, so the vegans can skip this one. But for the lacto-ovo crew, it's great.
