i'm visiting chicago for the next few days and i just found "karyn's cooked" on happycow.net. yummy!!! it's sunday so and they were still serving brunch when i got there. they were out of the tofu scramble skillet that i wanted, but the spicy quesadillas that were my second choice turned out to be great.

got some vegan pecan pie to go. lawdy lawdy! :drool:

also plan to try green zebra and the chicago diner.

i didn't know she had that place. she has a raw restaurant, too, that i've heard is really good.

Chicago Diner is awesome.

If you want food in the raw, go to Cousin's IV... it's awesome. In Irving Park St... very close to my home :D :drool:

If you go to the Diner be sure to get a vegan shake! I'm not a fan of their food but their shakes and desserts rock.

I've only been to Karyn's Cooked once but I really liked it. Kind of expensive though.
