I remember awhile back someone posted a site with some cute bags and wallets........but I can't remember the name of it.......for some reason slaughterhouse is in my brain? but when I googled it nothing like that came up.
anyone know what I am talking about?

www.mattandnat.com carries all fake leather purses and wallets. A bit pricey though. I love Urban Outfitters for purses. MOST of their purses are made of fake leather, although you have to read the description to be sure. They also have a website if you haven't heard of them. www.urbanoutfitters.com

Loves them.

They're also washable, which is a big plus.

omg, you're not alone. I just clicked on that first link, and the first wallet was $75. My virtual jaw dropped. It's super nice and I would pay that for such a nice vegan wallet, but I have never even purchased a wallet for myself, they always come as gifts!

my girlfriend got one of their purses when we were in north carolina last summer. I like the bag, I just don't like the fact that they try and imitate animal skins, or at least from far away an unkowing person might not know

no, it was custom made from a shop on etsy. i can justify it by saying that it's an investment in a quality handbag.. i can use it for years ;)

Also, try www.Sprig.com (for both purses and a few shoes) and www.piperlime.com. At Piper Lime, if you go to the handbag section and look under "fantastic finds under $100," most of those are synthetic. There is not a wide selection, but at least it's something.

um... yes i can, but the shop specializes in jewelry and bags made of leather and weird skins, like stingray and lizard. i found the purse on etsy, saw it was made of wool and leather, and sent them a msg asking if they could replicate the bag in black, and in all vegan materials. i was sure they were going to say no but they messaged back straight away and were really kind.

this is the original bag, i can send a picture of the vegan one if you'd like when i receive it.

if you don't want to purchase something from people who make leather stuff, there are a ton of shops on etsy that have gorgeous (and cheaper) stuff. just not EXACTLY what i wanted though.
