I've been hunting high and low for a vegan lip balm, and after reading a zillion tiny labels, I finally found one without beeswax or other weirdo ingredients.
BUT..later on I checked their website, and the ingredients listed there say that it contains beeswax! :dizzy: What's the deal??

My Lips Stuff has some vegan choices, You can also Google "vegan lipbalm" and find a bunch of sites. I can't help you with that brand, Though.

I heard about this a couple of months ago. Your store just probably hasn't sold all of their original, beeswax-free stock yet.

mine doesn't have beeswax on the label. its a year old though. its also completely crap and does horrible things to my lips.
i'd reccomend Eco-Lips Bee Free (http://www.ecolips.com/Products.aspx)(the yellow one half way down the page). its lemon and lime. its also good. :) i've just noticed that they have a beta products zone (http://www.ecolips.com/ProductsBetaBalm.aspx) too, (which is very cool) with has bee-free unflavoured, blueberry, pomegranate, and passionfruit flavours! yay!
other people seem to like merry hempsters, but it feels like wax crayons to me.

We are exact opposites! Eco Lips totally fries my lips. I literally get blisters from it. It might have been a bad batch, but I'm too scared to try it again.

thats really odd. i spose each to their own though- peoples bodies are complicated and individual things :)
eco lips is the only one i've tried so far which hasn't been a nightmare for me. i've got a stack of discarded vegan lipsalves next to my bed... its so disapointing every time i try a new one, so i'm sticking with my beefree.
i'm really pleased that i saw that beta testing page, cos lemon and lme was getting a bit samey- i've just stocked up on their new flavours.. when they get here in the mail in two weeks time, its gonna be a joyful lipsalve frenzy round here.
ok, i need to shut up, i'm starting to sound like an advert for them.
OP- there are a few other brands around incase you want more options....off the top of my head a remember a british one called Yaoh (http://www.yaoh.co.uk/hemp-lip-balm.html) being mentioned, plus this tea and coffee flavoureds range made by Crazy Rumours (http://www.crazyrumors.com/products.html) (didn't like the smell or the price when i saw them near me, but i'm not a tea and coffee flavouring smell loving lady).

Really. With this much difference between humans, how do they think they can tell what's safe by pouring stuff all over rats?

you see... this is why people should always defer to me- cos i know best. if scientists had asked me, i would have told them that its a bloody stupid idea to put lipsalve on rats. :book:

Animal Tester 1: "Okay, injecting rat 334,302 with fruity fun lip balm 17" ... "Subject 334,302 has exploded. Fruity fun lip balm 17 is rejected."
Animal Tester 2: "Wait... What? I thought we already approved it. I've been using number 17 for over a month!"
Animal Tester 1: "The rat exploded. It's a failure"
Animal Tester 2: "But... I'm not a rat. My lips feel great. They're so smooth. I'm not having any side-effects with it. It's the best lip balm ever."
Animal Tester 1: "It failed on the rat. It doesn't matter how it feels on you. If injecting the lip balm directly into the bloodstream of the rat doesn't produce favorable results it's a failure. Why would it make any sense to judge it based on how it works on a human's lips?!?!"
Animal Tester 2: "You're right. That wouldn't make sense, it matters how a rat reacts to it. I'll throw it all away. Back to chapped lips for me."
