Let's talk about our favorite veg*n places to eat, drink, shop, etc in Austin! I don't live there, but my sister and cousins do so I'm down there often.

One of my favorite places to go is the little vegan bakery Dhaba Joy. They have organic coffee, teas, smoothies, and lots of delicious treats and cakes! It's totally delicious and adorable.

Bouldin Creek gets a lot of my business.

I really love dhaba joy. When they first opened they were only veggie. I'm super glad they decided to go strictly vegan :) It's the only place in austin where all of the baked goods are vegan, and they're great :)

Wow. I'm a little late getting to this thread, heh.

I may as well have had my own cot set up at Mr. Natural when I lived in south Austin. They cater to all types of vegetarians and vegans as well. Here's their website (http://www.mrnatural-austin.com/index.htm) if you ever want to check on anything before visiting or make special requests.

Cabo Bob's (http://www.yelp.com/biz/cabo-bobs-austin)! It's a little burrito place very similar to Chipotle (http://www.chipotle.com/) (which is very veg*n friendly) but I think they have better variety of fillings and tortillas and are oh so yummy. We love it there. (And now I have a craving...).

As for shopping, the Newflower Market (http://www.sfmarkets.com/index.html) at Manchaca and William Cannon is wonderful even if a bit pricey with some things. H.E.B. stores have a good selection of veg*n groceries as well.

I have to second Mr. Natural as well as Mother's. Java Noodle on Oltorf is awesome for Indonesian. Thai Passion in downtown has great food as well. The Clay Pit on Guadalupe has great Indian food. The 1st two are completely vegetarian and the rest will cater to veggie folk. All worth trying.

There's a little vegan food stand at 6th and Waller (He can't remember the name of it) that my husband just tried out a couple days ago on his lunch break. He had the "chicken" salad sandwich, said it was one of the best things he's ever tasted.
