i stumbled on this site while doing some research, and hope it's ok to post what is basically an ad for our new product - vegan marshmallows kits!
i'm in new zealand, and have developed a great vegan marshie recipe. i sell them in shops here, but there aren't many vegans in nz! (actually, there aren't many people at all in nz...) i was stunned to discover that mine were actually better than those from sweet and sara (mine are fluffier!) and i started plotting to bring marshmallow relief to all those poor deprived americans!
what i came up with is a kit containing the specialist ingredients (and the recipe) for making about 50 good-sized marshies. you just need to add sugar, syrup, water, vanilla essence and starch/coconut (for coating the marshies).
to make the marshies, you'll need a candy thermometer, and an electric mixer. a stand mixer will give best results, but a hand-held electric beater will also do the job.
the kits are NZ$10 (that's approx US$8) including postage anywhere in the world.
we accept payment by credit card and are currently establishing a paypal account, which should be up and running in about 10 days.
