for lunch my friends and I go to this resurant since one of them has a mother that works there. Its a small town (they even can reconize me over the phone) and I have suggested a veggie burger a few times, and a few days ago the owner came up to me and said she got an order and they would be here tuesday. Not only is this awsome for me since it will be the only in town, but if you think about it if someone tries it ect that is another less piece of meat consumed ect.
It was cool.

They should! Like, "[Your name]'s Veggie Burger" or something. Way to go!

what about just the "Savannah Burger?" :D
Anyway, OMG! That's so amazing! I've yet to find a restaurant that sells veggie burgers around here...it is sad. :(
Do they cook the veggie burger in its own little veggie friednly place too? :)

Wow...how cool! Great job! :) Now people will have options.
I also have something to say to everyone:
A lot of times we veggies can get pretty down on what omnies say to us,...I have heard some hurtful comments: "your going to die,...your an idiot that is so unhealthy, ect."
Well, I am sure that a lot of us feel useless sometimes, we are often (especialy where I live) the ONE person going against the CROWD of people.
I just wanted to say that even though we sometimes feel like we don't make a difference...we REALLY do!
...here's my story...
I had a vegan friend (she was my best friend) 3, or 4 years ago. I would eat meat in front of her and I would tell her that there was no way that I would EVER be a vegan/vegetarian.
One day she moved away. And about 6 months after that, I started thinking: maybe I could be a vegetarian, maybe the only reason why I thought that I couldn't was because I was just to LAZY. I realized that I could, and that it wasn't impossible...that I could do ANYTHING that I WANTED to.
So I did,...I have been an ovo/lacto vegetarian for 2 (going on 3) years.
The point of the story (sorry that it was so long) is that I would have never gone vegetarian if it wasn't for that friend! She was very nice and never pressured me. I don't think that she knows that she turned me vegetarian, because I started after she left.
So you see, somewhere, somehow there could be veggies out there that follow this lifestyle because of YOU...and you might not even know it.
You are not useless, all of YOU do MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

wow. random. lol. This boy in my theatre arts class is the only one who really messes with me about my being a vegan (I have a theory that he is secretly in love with me) and he says stuff like "kill the vegans" and "vegans will burn in hell" ect. pure fun, but the funny part is the only guy who says things like "your going to kill youself" ect actually has a sister who is a vegatarian (atleast thats what he has said) sort of ironic.

I just got back from that resturant and there were a bunch of college guys there and after they left I found out that every single one of them (about 9 or 10) ordered those veggie burgers, very cool. So she has to order more and is going to place it on the menu, lol.

wow, that's totally awesome! I hope the veggie burgers are a success! I know Lick's in Canada makes a near-killing off of featuring their natureburger and vegetarian chili, so maybe this restaurant will catch on. If it's near a college, they'll almost definitely have lots of customers wanting veggie burgers.

:bobo: That's fantastic! Spree, I think you're my new hero. And Margaux's story was cool too. That reminds me that I never told the girl who inspired me to go vegan. I didn't know her in real life, but still, everyone can use the support. :)
