Hi all,
I found it hard to weed through all 20 or so pages of AZ posts to find out who is where, so I've started a new thread cuz I want to find housemates.

I'm moving to AZ as soon as my house sells here. Everyone who has come to see to see it has come by twice to look in the first 10 days on the market, so it's looking promising.

I'm probably looking to live outside of Phoenix, and would really like to either buy a huge house with someone, and get housemates to help with the cost.

OR, I'd like to just buy a very modest house in a transitioning or new area, and get others to buy close by.

The ideal situation would be to buy an abandoned school or dormitory, but I don't expect to find one, esp. one that I can afford, even though I have another buyer who is interested.

I'd love it if anyone has any suggestions of places, links, or MLS numbers. And I'd also like to connect with those who might have interest in being a part of the neighborhood or house.

I'm thinking it may have to be a good bit outside of the city limits due to the fact that I do a lot of animal rescue. I don't want to be off-grid or in a tent, nor do I want to live in a trailer park, or an area with an hour commute to town. Right now where I live there are no rules on animals, but maybe that's not possible to find near Phoenix.

There's a bunch of houses for sale in my neighborhood. I live in Marana which is a suburb north of tucson and 1.5 hours south of phoenix.

North East Phoenix would be a good area for you. Their animal restrictions are laxed. You can even get into a neighborhood with horse property. Also, that area is very veg friendly. They have Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Sunflower Market and Sprouts. They also have a few veg restaurants as well as farmers markets.
