Are there any safe, animal friendly cleaning products that anyone can recommend? I'm ready for a good spring cleaning! Thanks

I really like Method products--they're reasonably priced, free of animal ingredients/animal testing, and readily available at Target stores. They're also attractively packaged and smell great! I've also used a number of Seventh Generation cleaning products, and have liked them as well.

I'd also suggest trying Method. They have an ever growing selection of cleaning products. I wish they had a wider variety of scents for the general cleaners, but other than that I've been very happy with their products. Besides the obvious benefits of being animal and environmentally friendly, Method is pretty easy to come by. As mentioned by SilverGirl, you can find the brand at Target. My local grocery also carries a limited selection of their cleaners.

I use a combination of olive oil and lemon juice for furniture. About 2/3 olive oil and 1/3 lemon.
I haven't used it yet, but white vinigar is supposed to be a great cleaner (http://organizedhome.com/pantry-recipes-homemade-cleaning-products).
"Mildly acidic white vinegar dissolves dirt, soap scum, and hard water deposits from smooth surfaces, yet is gentle enough to use in solution to clean hardwood flooring."

Baking soda for things that need to be scrubbed (counters, sinks, toilets, floors, etc.) and vinegar for pretty much everything that won't dissolve when in contact with liquid....soap for anything else. Those are the only cleaning products I use.

i quite like the method stuff too- i'm not amazingly fond of the scents though (to be fair, they do have unscented stuff too). their foaming hand soap is amusing too if you're a bit of a kid.
i also have a seventh generation spray cleaner that i really like- its pretty much hydrogen peroxide, soap, water, and orange oil, but it does a great job on the bathtub, and doesn't melt off my skin if i don't put gloves on to use it, reek of synthetic scents, or take my breath away (chemical cleaners tend to make me gasp for breath).

I too use Method. Priced reasonably, easy to find, and nothing harsh about them!

I use seventh generation stuff for my bathroom, laundry and dishes.
For my floor I use viniger if they are dirty but for daily moping I use hot water with some lavender and mint oil.
If things are really dirty ( think a muddy dog running in!) then I break out the orange oil,you can pick it up in any gardening store and its great for your garden and it makes a handy household cleaner. Not to mention it smells yummy.
For scrubbing I use baking soda and water, non abrasive and keeps everything smelling fresh.
For wood I use oil soap.

Mrs. Meyers (http://www.mrsmeyers.com/)!!! It's excellent. I bought a big container of All-purpose lavender scented cleaner (http://www.mrsmeyers.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductId=c7853a7b-a13e-4f5d-b063-c43e05cb02a2&CategoryId=b115fb7e-9f19-4101-89d2-999f00e81288)for $8 in November and I still have most of it. I bought a $2 spray bottle from Lowes and filled it with water, added a little bit of the solution, shook it up, and BAM - glass cleaner and all purpose cleaner. I use it in my animals cages, for my bathroom, and all over the house.
Method is good too! I have the daily shower spray and love it. The grapefruit all purpose cleaner is nice too.

It smells SO good too... makes the room smell AWESOME. No animal testing, all natural.
