I saw yesterday's show. Reality shows will do anything for money, even if it involves ruining marriages and, according to the narrator, yesterday's show did ruin their marriage. I was interested in the show but can't really say I plan on watching it anymore after yesterday's episode. They never should have aired it.

The show doesn't "ruin marriages". Deceit and the revealing of truth can, but that is on the liar.
I didn't watch it yesterday (although, now I wish I knew what you were referring to).
I have watched it a few moments here or there in the past, but it was too long and drawn out for me to continue. Too contrived and hyped.

I did watch last nights show, mainly b'cause there was nothing else on. I usually don't like shows like that because it is stressful.
I don't believe the show ruined the marriage (if that is actually true), She ruined her marriage. First by doing the things she did and thinking the way she did and secondly by going on when she could have stopped. She said it wasn't for the money, BS! She said she wanted to get it off of her chest, she could have got it off of her chest on her couch. And if it wasn't for the money, why was she devistated when she lost it all?

She did not look devastated at all to me, but more disappointed. I don't understand why she'd go on the show if money wasn't an issue, as she should have told him privately and moved on with her life. I still feel the show should not have aired that and it did ruin their marriage. Personally I'm getting sick of reality shows in general, and Deal Or No Deal and American Idol are the only two I plan on watching in the future.

I seen it last night. I agree, if money wasn't an issue, she could/should have told him privately. Poor guy.
But this is not the TV shows fault. It's her own. She went on there. She continued to answer questions..shes the one that admitted She takes her ring off to look single, was in love with someone else on her wedding day, has cheated on her husband, and believes she should be married to her ex. .

Actually today in math class we were talking about this episode. I have only seen the first two shows. I don't plan on watching it again.

OK well maybe not devistated.
I've found some reality shows I actually can watch too, I like AI too and stuff like Project Runway, but shows that have too much stress and have little entertainment value...I can live without.

That poor guy went to console her when she lost the money and started crying. Is he crazy.
I think that the show is total trash that i will never watch again!

I know, I was thinking he might of been doing that because the cameras were still on. I would have left after some of the answers.

I am not familiar with Project Runway. I forgot about America's Got Talent. That's a good show too. I just find that so many reality shows will modify a previous show slightly and consider it a different show. I wish there was more originality.

I love Project Runway. Its a competetion between fashion designers. I'm not into fashion whatsoever and not girly girl at all (I live in hoodies, jeans, and sneakers) but this show is so addicting. The competitions are always interesting (they had to make clothes out of candy on one episode) and the personalities of the designers are also entertaining.

i don't watch reality tv shows or gameshows... from what i've caught from commercials and flicking past, its generally a load of bollards, and i really struggle to pay attention to it for more than 20 seconds.
if you're greedy/selfish/attention seeking/desperate enough to want to go on a show like the moment of truth, (or maury, jerry springer, big brother, etc) and not smart enough to realise what it'll entail... well.... *shrugs*.

You're comparing the show to Jerry Springer? I'm not sure if I'd go that far. Anyways, the previews for next week's show look just as bad. I don't have any plans of watching it though.

I don't watch a lot of TV (we have the most basic cable you can get) but I find this show fascinating. I've only seen part of one episode and I just wonder about the people on this show. If they are asked the same questions before as the ones they're asked during the taping.... how can you be caught off guard? You Know what they're going to ask you (or at least what is possible that they'll ask you).
I have no desire to be on TV but if I were to do a game-show type thing this would be it. I'm terrible at trivia but I'm awesome at honesty lol. There's pretty much nothing in my past you could ask me about that I wouldn't be able to answer honestly, and without causing my family or friends pain. I wasn't perfect in my past but I didn't do anything that bad that I would need to hide. My Husband knows everything and my family wouldn't be that surprised or dissapointed. I would rock at this show lol.

i think the format and target audience is a little different, but there is still a pretty big element of 'look at me' and 'lets sit at home and watch a stranger air their dirty laundry in public' in both.

I saw on a commercial that the next "Moment of Truth" is supposed to be even more 'shocking'' than the one we just saw.

I dont get why people would even want to be on the show the only reason is fro money and they kno what they are getting themselves into but who would want people to kno their secrets on live tv? I just dont kno why anyone want to go on the show

i think some people aren't that bright about it... they see dollar signs, and maybe they think it'd be cool to be on tv and famous for 15 minutes, or something.
for example- realistically, why on earth would anyone with any degree of sense want to go on the jerry springer show? i'm hopeful (well, thats probably completely the wrong word) that at least some of the guests on that show are real people, not actors. its ludicrous and degrading, but they just keep signing up for it, and people just keep watching it.
