Has anyone else had this problem? My nails, especially my thumb nails have ridges across them. I've heard this can be from a nutrient deficiency? But I don't know which nutrient. I eat a pretty balanced diet I think!

I have some horizontal ridges.
It sometimes means deficiencies but other times it can just be because of a knock to your hand that causes them. It depends which way (horizontally/vertically) the ridges are for what the problem is.
I think the best idea would be to go and get blood tests done if you're worried about a deficiency, not just listen to lines in your nails.

It can also be hereditary. Get blood tests done if you're concerned. If it comes back fine then just get a nice buffer and enjoy the shine and smoothness :)

I'm not too concerned, just curious if anyone has the same problem or has heard of what causes it. The ridges are horizontal but buffing does smooth them out quite a bit!
