So, I am thinking of getting a bubble bar, but I know bubble bath isn't good for girls "down there",

Has anyone ever had issues with Lush?

Any other natural bubble baths you would recommended?

Thankies!

Anni

I get UTI's rather easily, I didn't have a problem with Lush bubble bath bars. I don't use a lot though. I got one that was pink with pretty flowers on it. It smelled like a little piece of cake. I love Lush!

I use lush bubble bars and have never had an issue. I could maybe understand the ones with glitter or petals in them possibly being a little bit more of an issue but those are usually only in the bath bombs. Give them a go I honestly doubt unless you are extremely sensitive that you'll have any problems at all.

i think anything containing any potential irritants, and of the wrong p.h. can theoretically be problematic. a product containing solely natural ingredients doesn't get a 'get off' on this concept- plenty of essential oils can be very irritating 'down there' (and anywhere else if you're sensitive to them) for a start.

if you have a history of issues with bubble baths, soaps, and other scented bath products, i'd lay off them and get your sensory fix elsewhere. you could have regular non-bubbly baths, but use nice scented lotions/massage oils afterwards, avoiding the area of concern, or use an aromatherapy oil burner in the bathroom and enjoy the smell, etc, those things would definately not cause you itchy u.t.i. problems.

Lush lover. Never had a problem. Though I always shower off after a Lush bath, and perhaps if you are prone to UTI's, use the restroom after your bath.

I'm notorious for UTIs, I'm also a regular LUSHie, if there's a connection then I'll just have to deal with it. :D
if you're using a big one like the comforter or Blue Skies then only use about 1/4 of the bar, for anything else use about 1/2. if there's glitter, confetti, flower petals and other annoying extras you can "sock" the bar or bomb by placing it in the foot of a nylon stocking and tying it off.

Someone tell me if I'm breaking bubble bar etiquette, but can't you just take the shower head as you're getting out and quickly rinse off down there?

I'm a hardcore Lush devotee and I've never had a problem with any of their products, in any region... so, no.

I've never had that kind of problem with LUSH products. But I've also never had a UTI. If this is a problem for you I would follow napalmtheory's advice and perhaps have a shower/rinse after?

I've had a problem with the more heavily scented lush baths but hot milk has always been great in the bath for me.

I would avoid the bars with alot of glitter. Also the ones with things in them can still work ok if you use a pair of tights or something to strain the stuff.

I'm a HUGE Lush bubble bar fan, especially Bathos and Karma..yum!
I've never had any problems, but I usually use only half a bar for a full bath. I also pee when I get out of the tub too, just in case.

Lush prides itself on being pretty non-allergenic but I am allergic to their deodorants for some reason (yes, I tried all of them and they all made my armpits swell up and itch!), so I'd take that with a pinch of salt. I am not normally allergic to much, by the way.

Mmm....bathos. :smitten:

 I use it a LOT! Luckily when I was there last time, they had a buy one get 2 free deal. I think I bought most of their supply.
