I hate using the dryer! My clothes are always so full of static and my pants/skirts stick to my legs when I walk. I would love to hang my clothes to dry, but I live in a one bedroom apartment in a highrise and only have room to hang up my "hang to dry only" clothing. I can't wait to live in a house so I can have an outdoor clothesline! (Assuming that I'll live in a community where outdoor clotheslines aren't banned!!! Yes, there are many places in Ontario that ban clotheslines, but don't get me started LOL.)

Has anyone else had trouble with static cling? What products have you found to reduce it when you have to use a dryer? I don't want to buy chemical-filled Bounty sheets, but are there any natural products that do the job as well?

Please help as I have this problem too especially in the dry winter months like now!

I found some good suggestions on another site about this very problem. I haven't had a chance to try them yet but I'm going to try the latter first:

(1) Use 1/2 cup of white vinegar in the wash cycle of your clothes. (Note: Don't use vinegar when you're using bleach because the mixture can create toxic fumes.) or (2) Put a small amount of all-natural fabric softener (Seventh Generation) on a damp cloth and toss that into the dryer with your clothes.

Avoid those re-usable "dryer balls" made from PVC...apparently they can be just as toxic as dryer sheets. I was searching those balls when I stumbled upon the above suggestions:)

I, too, would like to one day rid of my dryer dependence but until then!! :(
