I wanted to let you know about an upcoming Vegan Outreach gathering in the LA Area. On March 22 at 4 pm, Anne, Ellen, and I will be at Vegetarian Heaven. Although it might be a bit of a drive, we hope that you can come out and meet us. For part of the time, I'll be leading a discussion on the topic, "Is being vegetarian important?," so feel free to bring a friend!

Vegetarian Heaven is the café of India Sweets and Spices ( http://www.indiasweetsandspices.org/ ) at 3126 Los Feliz Blvd Los Angeles CA 90039. For the day, Vegetarian Heaven will be serving only vegan food.

I think everyone should meet up in San Diego for my birthday weekend (May 24-26). My bf is going to be out of town for his cousins wedding, so I have no one to go with me. I know, isn't that awesome? The food is VERY reasonably priced too! When I went in, my bf and I were the only ones there (it was at about 2pm). They close for an hour in the afternoon to give the servers/cook a break. The lady who worked there was very nice too. And since their food is made to order, you can make substitutes.

I've never had coconut milk-based soups before. Very different, but tasty. Even took it home to Riverside with me :)

We'll have to work something out soon. If my bf wasn't going to be in Michigan memorial day weekend, I would say that weekend would be perfect. We had planned on staying in San Diego that weekend... until his cousin scheduled her wedding for the 25th. We were bummed that we had to cancel our plans.

I'll get back to you... I have to discuss the info with my bf.

*cough* Everybody is having meetups except us Californians. :stinkeye: Even those danged Oklahomans are planning their SECOND meetup. What's wrong with us? Why can't we get organized? :mad:

LOL! I promise, very very soon! My last class in community college ends next week. YAY!

Santa Monica is just far... I've driven out to LA twice this month already and will be going again tomorrow AND thursday. Next month!

I am going to the convention on the 14th which is on Sunday. Any of youse want to come? We can meet and go together. Its cheaper if tickets are purchased online.

Weather was lovely in Riverside on Sunday. :) Warm, but not hot, because there was a breeze a-blowin'. And by the time I left Riverside at 7 p.m., it had cooled down a bit and was nice and comfy.
