I'm not 100% sure where company replies should go, so here I'm posting them.

The Bagel Stop:

Our bagels do not contain any animal by-products, however we do make cheese bagels so that there may be some contact.

Alex Zilberberg.

The Great Canadian Bagel:

Amanda, the cheddar family of bagels (including tomazzos and super bagels) all contain cheese. Milk is not an active ingredient of any of our bagels. Eggs is an ingredient in the French Toast and Egg. Honey is included with a few of our bagels, but minimal. It would probably be easier to answer your question if there were specific flavours you were interested in. Also, any of the staff at any of the locations should be able to assist you with your query.

If further information is required, please do not hesitate to get back in touch with me.

Um yeah, I don't trust your 14 year old 'this-job-is-just-to-pay-for-my-new-electric-guitar-and-weed' staff to know what's in all of their bagels. Thanks.

I'm going to pick a few really basic seemingly harmless flavors (like plain) and ask about them in specific. Great Canadian Bagels were my fave.

I agree... though I really hate the part where she said "honey is included with a few of our bagels, but minimal."

-_-'' So long as its an ingredient, it counts. (I don't count "may contain traces of" because I have a friend who'se highly allergic to eggs and she ignores it--and she swells up just touching them, so I figure may contain is overkill usually?)

i don't count may contain traces of either, but it IS frustrating when you go to the trouble of contacting companies for product info, and they tell you that there's only "a little" of an ingredient in something. why bother even saying that? just say that ya, there is animal products in our stuff.
