I'm a 20 year old male, and I recently decided to try to work out my arms. One of the workouts was the one where you stand sideways and pull sideways to work out the triceps. While it didn't hurt my elbows much then, the next day, the day after that, and all through this morning and now there's been an ache that makes it difficult to move my forearm too much one way or the other. This was just one workout, so I have no clue how it's causing this problem for several days. One concern I have is I'm not sure I have all that much calcium in my diet, so could it be arthritis? At 20?

The pain has declined...I guess my joint wasn't used to moving or something. Hopefully it won't happen again.

it may have been an improperly done exercise. is there anyone at your gym who could demonstrate the proper technique? It may also have been that the muscles were getting strengthened, as I know that I am sore after doing weights.

This is my thought. Muscles tend to hurt after a workout. Esp. if those muscles havn't been exercised much, or recently.

I fully expect to have sore muscles once I start gymming it up. I haven't worked some of my muscles since I graduted in June!

My understanding is that it's not the muscle that aches, but the elbow joint. You might want to make sure you are getting the proper oils in your diet. Nuts and whatnots (whatnuts) help, but I myself am too lazy to manage that part of my diet. I take an omega 3·6·9 supplement, flax oil oughta do the trick too, soy nuts, obviously you don't want fish oil, sunflower seed oil, there're several things that'll do the trick.

I know what muscle soreness feels like, and this wasn't the muscles in pain, it was the joint. I eat a lot of fresh walnuts and almonds so I think I'm good there. I'm hoping it was just a shock reaction, and see if better stretching prevents this next time.

I have been having a lot of pain in my back. I have lower back pain on the right side and pain in my upper back between my shoulder blades on both sides of my spine but distinct. The left side cracks if a stretch to the right and I get a sharp pain. The pain on the right is sharp and hurts when I take a deep breath and when the pain doesn't ease it starts going down my right arm. Any ideas on what I am dealing with?
