Many Dollar Tree stores (not all "everything's $1.00" stores, but specifically Dollar Tree have started carrying WestSoy Soy Milk in 32oz. cartons (white box). At my Dollar Tree you can bulk order them, too.

All the Dollar Trees in my area carry it and I always pick up a carton or two but I REALLY lucked out because the Dollar Tree closest to me has a refridgerator section and occasionally will carry 32oz cartons of chocolate Silk!

I've seen Westsoy there for a long time, but I'll have to check for the Silk. I can't stand the shelf-carton varieties.

Yeah I think they had Silk there because they were close to the expiration date which doesn't bother me because I definetly use it up before then.

wow that's so weird....i was just at dollar tree tonight and i saw westsoy but i was afraid to get it because i don't know how it tastes. is it any good? if so, i'll definitely stock up!
as an aside - i was amazed at the vegan/vegetarian food selection they have. pasta, sauce, rice, canned fruits and veggies, cookies, crackers, nuts, raisins, etc.. a frugal veg*n could definitely get by on that stuff if/when money gets tight! i bought some peanut butter crackers and almond cookies (delicious!).

shyviolet, are you talking about the almond cookies in the pink box? I've never had them, any good?
the westsoy is okay - i use it mostly for baking and cereal.

Not only that, but they have a surprisingly large number of toiletries (shampoo, etc) and household products (including laundry detergent) that are vegan and not tested on animals.

Psht, we have .99 cent stores here, and they have Silk Soy coffee drinks 2/.99 cents right now. They also have boxed soymilk (some no name brand I've never heard of) in the cooler section. I try to bop in there once a week and see what I can find there. They once had an entire freezer section full of vegetable tempura that was vegan and had this delicious lime sauce with it. I ended up buying seriously like five four packs of it. Ooo one time they had 3 packs of silken tofu also. I ended up buying some of those too I forgot about those.

Once a dollar store by me had SOY DELICIOUS! It was 3/$1.00, and they had Peanut Butter Zig Zag (my FAV at the time!), some kind or fruit sweetened mint carob kind, and vanilla. I STOCKED UP!! I bought about 20 pints. Then the next week they had Soy Delicious 5/$1!! But all they had was vanilla. Not my favorite, but I bought a ton anyway. The week after that they had the peanut butter chocolate quarts 3/$1. Then I never saw Soy Delicious there again....

aah! i was gonna get one of those but i wasn't sure if they were truly vegan because they contain "artificial chicken flavoring" and i wasn't quite sure what it is made of.

sarahjayn - the cookies are shaped like windmills and they were in red and yellow plastic packaging. i would tell you what brand they are but i put the cookies in a cookie jar and threw the packaging away last night.

I went to the local dollar tree and they did have Westsoy.Good deal and I drink a lot of soy drink. No freezer or cooler so no vegan ice cream. They said the store isn't big enough. Only larger ones carry that stuff. Also, they said the soy drink is a fast seller.

Man, our Dollar Tree is HUGE! They have a freezer section and a shelf food section. And they take EBT/FoodStamps (I don't have those but it's good to know!). They've had soymilk there for a few years.

Yay! I love Big Lots as well. Haven't found Silk yet but got some Vitasoy Vanilla and Chocolate 12 oz bottles for 50cents there yesterday. :) I also got some cheap couscous for $1.50, hummus, and salsa. Once in awhile they have a lot of organic cereals and different kinds of Kashi cereals for $2.
