Jerome Russell (http://www.jeromerussell.com/) bleach isn't animal tested- they test on people. they make a bleach called 'Bblonde' i've seen their bleach in independant and Alliance Pharmacies, and at Superdrug (superdrug will definately have it).

You can use the site below to find out if there is an alliance pharmacy near you:

You can buy and see the bottles of their bleach online at Superdrugs website here:
http://www.superdrug.com/icat/bnewhaircolour

and you can find out where your nearest Superdrug is, here:

Manic Panic bleach doesn't work on my hair but I love their other products. Has anyone tried the Jerome Russell bleach?

i used to bleach my friends hair with it all the time. it worked fine... started off as a soft milk chocolate brown, come out as surfer-chick bleached blonde, lol.

bleach doesn't work too well on my hair generally- regardless of the brand- i've got a lot of natural brassiness (lets call it 'frigging orange') in my hair, and while it lightens up, its very hard and takes ages to get it past that coppery strawberry blonde colour- even harder to do without it just turning to straw. maybe something similar is going on with you- have you tried other brands?

Yeah, My hair usually turns bright orange when I bleach it and i've never been able to get it past 'oh, 'god' yellow.' That's what happens with normal bleach, Manic Panic doesn't even change my hair colour.

I used jerome russell!
It worked well
my hair went WHITE after not long, and its naturally near black

but!
Even doing just my ROOTS i ran out of bleach. One box didnt even cover my roots!
So if you do use Jerome Russell I'd recommend getting more boxes than you think you'll need - can always take it back if you don't need it!

I've never had problems with Manic Panic bleach and my hair is usually dyed black when I bleach it out. I do usually have to bleach it twice, even with heavy duty stuff because of the black dye though.
