Does Cover Girl test their products on animals? Just wondering because I noticed Drew Barrymore was their new model and I was under the understanding she was vegetarian.

Hold on-I take that back--apparrently Drew gave up being vegetarian/vegan a few years back. I am really behind the times.

It is surprising to me that she works for them even though she is no longer vegan. At one time I heard her talking about how passionate she was about living things that she was almost crazy with it. That she had a problem with even eating vegetables because they were living plants. I just dont understand.

I couldn't believe it when I saw her on a CG commercial. I've always liked her, and respected her for her apparent love of animals. I am so disappointed that she would do ads for a testing company.

i remember an interview i read a few years back with her discussing not being veg. anymore...lost many green points when she said how much she missed steak and attributes her weight loss to adding animal proteins back to her diet.
Frustrating!

I hate how all the big companies who own virtually everything, test. P&G, J&J, Unilever, L'Oreal, etc. The only one I can think of is Estee Lauder but from what I know, they can only guarantee the finished product.
