I've ordered from them before. I'm not too picky on my make up (some people think the quality isn't great) so I've been pleased with them. And the prices are great, too.

Thanks for that! I am happy to see that Kmart carries this brand! :D

It's hard to pass up $1 cosmetics! Having a teenager who likes to experiment with different looks and is also in theater (needing a LOT of makeup for various roles) it got to be too expensive to ONLY buy the ZuZu Luxe, the Ecco Bella, the Zia and all the other natural/organic/cruelty-free products.

I don't wear much makeup, but I've ordered gifts (for my mom & sister) from there before. Can't beat those prices.

I have ordered from ELF before. It's not my favourite cosmetic company, but I do love their eyeshadows.

It's not my favorite either but it is not bad for the price! I just found some at Target. :)

thanks for the advice. I got some stuff from them yesterday and its not so bad. I mean it isn't top of the line like say the $30 cosmetics you can get but for the price it is Definitely worth while!

I have tons from ELF. The eyeshadows are great, but I would defenetely splurge and get your mascara and eyeliner from another company. The mascara is super clumpy, and the eyeliner doesn't work well, its not long lasting. I have tons of the eyeshadows though and I love them!! I didn't know Kmart sells their stuff. I ususally just order it online.

I was thinking of ordering something from them, but I was unsure about the quality of their products. But I guess for a dollar, it is worth while just to try.

Ooh! Thanks for sharing. I saw an e.l.f. section in our local department store yesterday but I was in a hurry so I didn't stop by. I'll do so soon and check out their mineral makeup. :D

*sob* I went to the e.l.f. booth yesterday and I found out that their mineral makeup isn't being sold in our country yet. *grumble grumble*

I just really don't like that their brushes are animal hair. :notvegan:

I've ordered a few times, and have always been quite satisfied - but I don't wear much makeup.
The price sure makes it easier to chuck the stuff that is a little past it's "best before" date and replace it regularly.

Last night I placed an order for mineral cosmetics from e.l.f. This morning I noticed the ingredient list contained animal products like silk powder and carmine. (I had assumed mineral cosmetics would be vegan and I didn't check the ingredients beforehand.) When I e-mailed them to inquire, they responded, "Since there is not one definitive list of acceptable ingredients and because we do not wish to give any incorrect information, we cannot confirm that our products are acceptable for vegan usage at this time." I ended up canceling my order.

Yeah, I think I started this thread before the launching of their "mineral" line. At any rate, they still do have many vegan items.

I think it's great how affordable the line is, but seeing a LOT of it is made in China there isn't really a lot of regulating so it's hard to say.

Oh dear God. I would have to say with the fact that they are made in china, they are synthetic chemicals, they are so cheap, some products have animal ingredients and most of their brushes are animal hair, they are a bit too iffy for me.

We seriously have to think about the fact that

a) we're putting chemicals INTO our body not just ON to it when we use cosmetics.

b) We are flushing those chemicals down the drain and damaging the water for the animals and us

and

c) It may be convenient to just "chuck" away your cosmetics when they pass expiry because you didn't use them enough, then go replace them with more cosmetics you won't use but that's incredibly wasteful. Especially considering how many cosmetics come in non-recyclable plastics that don't break down for hundreds of years.

*sigh*.

Hey, how about you let the horse have a rest? It's controversial for a vegan to ride a horse (even a HIGH horse).

:D
