Welcome to Veggieboards!

I don't have kids myself, but we do have lots of parents that will be able to help you out.
Check out the forum : Raising Vegetarian Children and you'll see that you are not alone!

I don't have children myself, but Nava Atlas makes some great transitioning cookbooks...Vegetarian Family Cookbook has a lot of veggie/vegan recipes that aren't too exotic and may be more appealing to children, who can be picky eaters or just nervous about trying new things. It might be a good idea to start with more basic meals, so that they aren't too overwhelmed by the change, and therefore will be more likely to stick to it. This particular cookbook has recipes and then has items as 'options' depending on appetite (i.e. different spices or unique ingredients for adults, and more basic stuff for small children). Good luck!
