So, I've tried a ton of the Amy's frozen meals, and I loved most of them. While I was at the store this week, HEB had a ton of the Amy's canned soups marked down because they are trying to get rid of them. I decided to give a few flavors a tried. I don't usually buy frozen meals or canned soups, but I love Amy's products.

Today for lunch I tried the vegetable barley soup. It was pretty good, just a little bland though. Ares seemed to really enjoy it. If you need a quick lunch fix, I'd recomend grabbing a can of Amy's soup. I also tried the coconut Thai soup that she makes the other day. It was very good. I have a can of hot chili from Amy in the pantry still, so I'll let everyone know how that tastes.

Same here. I like certain Amy's frozen meals (not all of them), but the ones I like can go for $5 a pop.

Amy's no-chicken soup has this weird flavor, although maybe it's because I usually save those for when I have a cold, and things taste weird when I have a cold.

Ooh..the spicy chili is awesome (although I like Trader Joe's too). The lentil vegetable (not the plain lentil, blech) and the minestrone were faves of mine as well.

I like the no chicken noodle and split pea both. I can't find many of the varieties here, and the ones I can only about 1/2 are vegan.

Yeah, I really wish the Amy's stuff was cheaper. I was really glad to find the soups on sale. I think I paid a dollar something for each can, and usually they are around $2. The TV dinners, as delicious as they are, just cost way too much. When I was pregnant and feeling lazy, I pretty much lived off Amy's frozen foods. I have to say, her vegan pizza is delicious.

i must have missed that. i was at wholefoods last night and they had a bunch of amy's stuff, but no vegan pizza. there was one without cheese, but instead of paying $7, i just made my own with fake mozarella cheese.

I like it too. I discovered the store near my house carries it, but the price is ridiculously high. The other Amy's pizzas are like $7.99 but for some reason the vegan no-cheese one is $8.35.

Oh wow! The pizzas here are $4-5. I guess things are cheaper where I live. I bought a single person no-cheese Amy's pizza for $3 the other day, because my husband felt like pizza for dinner.

I've only tried the no-chicken noodle, and it was disgusting.

I've found all the Amy's soups I've tried have the same weird onion taste. Not my thing. If you see them, try Muir Glen's soups... ohhh man they're good.

I love Amy's Frozen Entrees. But I hate the canned soups. I haven't tried one yet that I like. I much prefer Fantastic Foods soups.

How are the frozen Indian meals? I've been interested in trying them but haven't yet.

My mom loves them. I've never tried them because they contain dairy.

I've found some that don't contain dairy and are vegan :)

I didn't like the no chicken noodle very much either. I just had the minestrone though and it's great! The hot chili is really good too.

To me, canned soup always tatstes half as good as homemade soup. I do buy amy's refried beans and their ketchup though.

You're lucky. I swear every single one in the freezer section here has dairy in it.

I just do not care for Amy's soups at all. Not to say I don't like canned soup... I loved some of the Campbell's varieties before going vegan. But they ALL taste weird and bland and very much the same to me... (AND I much prefer homemade. I keep it in 1- or 2-cup containers in the freezer - almost as quick and easy as canned)

all canned soups, imo, are inferior to homemade, but lets face it, sometimes they are just handy.

i usually find that most of them benefit from a few additions...if there its tomato based, i might add a splash of vinegar *esp balsamic* and any herbs i might have, a bit of fresh garlic grated in, etc etc.

i used to love amys no chicken, then i got sick once and threw it up...uh, yeah, i cant go back there!! lol.

I used to love the tofu scramble breakfast...it's awesome. I'm trying to go raw now so I can't really eat these but they are good!
