View Full Version : Suggestions for supermarket bought Christmas dinner

I am vegeterian n doing my Christmas dinner for the first tine. I'm working that day so do not want to make anything from ascratch but am looking for a nice vegetieran main course which is a bit special

Any ideas of what and where i cn buy.

In Tesco's they do loads of different frozen veggies and those fresh prepared ones, but alot are made with butter, I don't know if that's okay for you.
I'm pretty sure they still do nut roast that you just put in the microwave, I had it once but I wasn't too keen. They will probably do a Quorn "roast" too.
Hmm, I'm not sure of what else.
You can always make homemade cranberry sauce a few days before.

If you only need vegetarian and not vegan there should be vegetable lasagnas out there. Shop Rite carries a really good one but I can't remember the brand name. It's in the frozen foods section.

ok, it's a bit late now, but i had the M&S mushroom & nut roast. Good times were had.

Hmmm I am a little late on this whole thing as it is now new years day, hey but for next year i would reccomend nut roast from tesco, but on saying that if you can buy it from the co-op all the better as it will also give you a nice warm feeling inside! :)
