So, I want to know FOR SURE,, FOR REAL,, who is PURPOSEFULLY on VeganFitness.net, (and I mean with a goal and WITH STAYING POWER,, committed to their goals and WITH A PASSION from VB??) I feel we need a definitive count here.... Which VBers make good intent of going about their routine with the help of VeganFitness.net, ETC !!!! ROLL CALL TIME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
On a Personal Note/ A favor to ask some person!!
I also have a problem it seems in trying to get admin over there send my account details which I've forgotten, so maybe someone (a regular there perhaps) can give a nudge to one of the admin to answer my email about that which I think I sent on Tuesday.... I'm fairly sure my email in the past, a few months ago was ignored as well.... So this time I am upping the chances of getting response, by asking one of you regulars to help attract attention over there, and to ask how long will it take for me to get a response from them please? That is the favor I'd like somebody to do for me.

I have an account ... it should be pretty easy to find :p However, since I am currently neither vegan or fit, I'm not active on the site. I know a couple of old VBers are on there. Seasiren is the first one that comes to mind.

Sorry I can't recommend anything especially, as I myself have not been on the site for an eternity either. I was though an active member there at the time of opening for a few short months or so ..... only now trying to gain access again..... or as soon as their admin pull their finger out.

It can be I suppose, and at least it has a forum nowadays too amongst its other delights. Not to say that VeganFitness, does not have its highlights incl: gallery, etc.

Did you forget your username and e-mail used? If it's just your password, the password e-mail is automated. If you've been inactive so long you forgot your username, why don't you just start a new account?

I used to be a member a long time back. It was a good place but I often felt intimidated by the lack of exercise I was doing relative to everyone else.

I know and sympathize with what you mean as exercise can be demanding and a pain at times, but it doesn't have to be that way.....
Good one eggplant.

I am on veganbodybuilding.com almost everyday...
I am on veganfitness a couple of times a month...
But it sounds like you are asking if we got in shape with the assistance of those boards. So my answer to that is "no". I love VBB though. Vegan Fitness is ok, but it seems I get more like-minded individuals and more support in VBB than I do in Vegan Fitness :)

hi, I just said hi to you in your intro thread.... having first spotted you here :)
I am mainly making a rollcall in this thread, but yes you can interpret the purpose here put to use in knowing whether VF was instrumental in your development if you like of course too. :)
________________________________________________
you love VBB ? but does that mean you go with just any fitness forums in general do you mean ? What is the acronym first of all ??
I'm not sure if you're talking about the forum software now, and the appearance of a place due the software used or what but anyway.... (I mean on fundamental merits if you like, technologies ability for pulling power in terms of visual attractiveness etc, and general promotion drive for veg*nism and fitness) .... The COLORFUL etc GRAPHICAL etc **DESIGN incorporation** on a site is certainly illustrated to near maximum effect on www.veganbodybuilding.com which I guess can only be a good thing.
BUT on other tangents, I guess you could be talking about including things such as:
the ethos, or the style/approach to training aka regimen/routine, or whether its the people, (etc etc) or whether just one fitness community should ever be relied upon for ALL these things in any case ???????
..........Clearly on that last point, for my endeavour they SEEM they can't be relied upon as they can't even be bothered to answer my request for reminder of my account details. I guess they're a sound bunch of ppl, I'm sure of it, but I'm so peed off waiting for them to get back to by now I'm just going to start a new account there, and what the hell..... My old accounts can wane and wonder or delete and plunder, whatever.....
nice to meet you Veg(an) Strength.

Nice to meet you too goth UK ;)
I was referring exclusively to the tone of the board. I find more people that agree with my way of thinking over on VBB than on Vegan Fitness, and while it is fine to disagree points, it just gets a little exhausting sometimes to be doing it on two boards instead of one. ha, ha :)
Also I feel the owner/founder sets the tone of the board and Robert Cheeke is a very positive role model who is on his board alot setting the tone, and I think that makes a huge difference in keeping the community really positive.
I guess mainly its because I'm so passionate about telling people they need to focus more on protein if they are trying to reshape their body or put on more muscle. When I raise these opinions on VBB, I'm met with some opposing viewpoints but also met with an equal number of people that agree with me, whereas on Vegan Fitness, I feel like such a minority on this opinion and felt really ganged up on when I tried to voice my opinion about it a few times.
Seasiren was mentioned twice in this thread. I'll tell you that neither one of us would have been able to have the physiques that we do without eating a high amount of Vegan Protein.
But anyways, back to your point, I'm not 100% positive, but I think that the founder of the board on Vegan Fitness bailed out along time ago so there's just a couple Moderators but no main overseer of that board anymore which is why you may be experiencing some trouble.

Wow, any clue why the originator bailed out ? I'm suppose (I hope) it was for practical reasons, rather than willingly leaving people in the lurch though right ? Any details you have you can disclose here about that?
I'll comment some more later, internet use for me is overtime just now, thanks til later, I'll pm you anyways too.
You can be VB's more than equal replacement for SeaSiren since she's not around much. Just kidding y'all... but yeah I'll take interest in this protein whatever theory in just a bit, from whomever willing to tell of their use of protein, and VB is a no hassle place, that is to say in as far as topics like that of course. People often disagree here but about protein, no-one is gonna get too pumped, LOL, or will they!! is that the idea ;)
cheers.... gothUK.

Hello vegstrength, you are certainly in shape and a positive image for veganism :)
As you are a personal trainer, could you advise me on a good workout regime using bodyweight exercises? I'm not interetsed in building huge muscles, just getting toned.
I am considering using hemp protein shakes over soy, I take it you think this would be a good idea?

boy howdy! i believe i still have an account on veganfitness, but i don't check the site out too much nowadays. i run typically 7 days a week, well, when im not sitting here nursing my broken leg. i also bike a bit, but that all depends on how much i run. not sure exactly what you were looking for, but i suppose you can add me to the tally of vegan/raw "athletes" here, and i'd be happy to provide my awful advice to anyone who's interested in breaking random bones in there body from overtraining!

Here's a good plyometrics site: http://www.exrx.net/Lists/PowerExercises.html
Then you click on the different exercise you want to do.
For example, after you click on Push-up (depth) you get to this page: http://www.exrx.net/Plyometrics/DepthPushUp.html
This site gives advice on reps and stuff: http://sportsmedicine.about.com/od/kneepainandinjuries/a/aa022202e.htm

I dunno whether I've seen this site before (but certainly ones like it) of where I've seen this sort of animated demo stuff.... but some of the anims aren't smooth enough.
I hope the info is better ?? (I'm not slagging off the site as I don't think I know it, I'm sure it tries to be accurate where possible.. in how to execute an exercise, but its the anims I'm talking about.... Maybe they are quite okay, most of them though)
All very well that some exercises, may involve or need a 'jerk' or "snatch" etc, or at least be known as a 'jerk' but anyway a few of the poorer anims, need to be better IMO as they jerk in the way you perhaps don't want in quality at least, as these small anims typically do.. There are fitness sites out there with bigger anims of exercise execution I'm sure.
Many exercises in fitness per se, are also smooth in operation, so I hope carried out smoothly.
http://www.exrx.net/Store/Other/TrainerClipArt.html ADVERTISED ON SITE :o (sorry mods if this bothers you or The Rules, but its a sensible ad I'm borrowing here, and its topic relevant and post relevant, thought I'd better show that there are illustrations on offer out there that may actually carry weight, in showing proper execution, hehe)
