::: UK Final Four Projects in £50m lottery race/bid/challenge :::

Four environmental groups are to compete for £50 million of lottery money, the largest single amount ever awarded by the Big Lottery Fund.

A public vote on ITV and online will decide the contest between the Eden Project, sustainable transport charity Sustrans, the Sherwood Forest Living Legends and a Black Country Urban Park

I'm undecided anyway.... I don't think BlackCountry is one *I* care much about though.

Two other slightly less prominent links worth their pants.... on the same subject and same bidding with same hopefuls....

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7057299.stm [speaks again of four final contenders] :)
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/somerset/7058677.stm (this one is a loser --Waterlinks-- that did not make final selection for final entry, F me, why don't water companies fix their own god damn leaking pipes, they have enough of OUR money already)

Or even if Waterlinks is not about pipes serving public homes, whatever, because it was still worth a dig were that the case, haha.

well course, everyone is going to vote for "SHERWOOD" (name pronounced in a patronizing but hysterical and funny way by my imaginery sidekick Rick Mayall)
with that Robin of Sherwood series on our screens, ya know what I mean ...(good viewing tho that is).

Thanks for the link, you have to sign up, WTF ??
ETA, I guess I'm not really complaining about having to sign up, its probably needed to prove who people are, rather than just some anonymous ISP adress.

Fook sake
Why are they putting the clips of the places in the middle of films?!

I sit through the news so I can watch the end of 40 year old virgin
then now its going on about the bleeding sherwood forest!

uh can they put it at the beginning or the end plz, not make me wait an hour in the middle!

im annoyed out of principal, this film is terrible.

 I seriously gave up watching the 40 year old virgin WAY BEFORE the news last night. anyhow I know what you mean, about its the same general principal on ITV when they show a movie (news or whatever in between/ stuff in the middle) as compared to the videos?... I guess, but I've still to view these videos about the lottery bid, so time for that today hopefully..

Heh. The whole "news in the middle of a movie" concept is mind boggling to me. The first time that happened to me after we moved here, I thought maybe they were showing part two the next night or something. Very un-American. :p

Voting closes in an hour. I can't decide! I got the hard-sell from the Sustrans people at a fair this weekend, but I like the Black Country one too... :dizzy:
