Interviews, VB Iron Chef and Art Contest

There seems to be some interest perking up again for the interviews and the art contest.

I know with all three it was mostly about not having enough exposure so people were forgetting about them. So I'm wondering instead of just having these stickied that maybe they could be like the announcements - where they would show up in every forum. People might notice them more? Or maybe even have something like a Featured Forum for these, and others like them, so they'd get more attention and eventually more participation.

Just a thought. :)

Feature Forum for SOME KIND of promoted threads, sounds mostly good, if there's a need and a want for it....? I would like to see this and I don't think it would be necessarily promotive elitist/ or favoritist.

----ETA, how though you would grant stickiness apptitude validity (including in a forum meant for that purpose) may have to form some sort of criteria so as to know which threads to allow to have this privilege (WITHOUT BEING PEDANTIC) of being featured/promoted on whatever terms/merits, etc. *which I think should be fairly liberal terms/merits* but must have point and a reason too!

How about a Forum that's called exactly that? "Contests, Competitions and Interviews"? Or similar. Many other boards have a specific forum these.

Some boards have it where a member has to have moderator permission before starting a new thread in them (so I can't randomly post 25 of my own made up contests about "Who has the coolest avatar?" or whatever).

This might also be a place to put the Vebo awards and anything else Michael needed our input on maybe?

It gets to be so many "stickied" threads that I no longer read them sometimes which defeats the whole purpose...

I agree. I tend to lose sight of those things and forget to ask questions, vote, etc. If they were stickied, I'd probably be a much better VB citizen.
