Hi All,

Does anyone know of a famous brand washing powder that I can buy in bulk that is not tested on animals? The boyfriend is having a hissy fit over me buying washing powder (e.g. Ecover) from the health food store as he says it isn't as good (although there is no proof of that!) and it's more expensive. Basically he won't use anything he hasn't heard of and really doesn't give a damn whether anything is tested on animals! If anyone has any ideas then please let me know. I'm trying to change his way of thinking when it comes to testing on animals but he's a stubborn git basically and accuses me of trying to turn him veggie which I'm not! I know a lot of omnivores who won't buy products which are tested on animals so it has nothing to do with being veggie.

BUAV has a site 'Go Cruelty Free (http://www.gocrueltyfree.org/)' :)

I don't know what the difference is like in products available between the UK and Ireland. But tescos has a range of no animal ingredients/no animal testing household stuff if you have a look (it is a tesco own brand but not THE tesco own brand, they have like a 'natural'ly-looking range). It has washing powder I think, and washing up liquid, and even things like soy candles!

You're making me want to move to the UK or Ireland. I don't even have a Tesco.
