Heya, I've been looking for some not-tested-on-animals semi-perminant novelty-colour hair dye?
I'm from the UK and is there any in stores I could use? I've looked but I'm pretty sure they're all tested on animals and my local vege-shop-place only has natrual colours [browns, blonds, etc].
So, can anyone recomend one from online? If it came from the UK it'd be fabulous because then it'd take less time to come, but US is fine too :D
Cheers guys,
I don't want to give up my tradition of 'bright coloured hair in summer holidays/at christmas' but after realising my old die WAS tested on animals --- I don't want to be doing it at their expence!
:) thanks in advance!

I've heard manic panic is vegan. It's an american brand I think but 'goth' type shops seem to have it over here.

Special effects, directions, stargazer!
Ive used all three
So far I like stargazer the best, but ive only had my special effects in a week. I just love Stargazer Magenta better than any other colour [points to avatar].
I always thought Special effects was REALLY expensive
like £8.50 a tub compared to stargazer £4 a tub
then i um, realised - the tubs are double the size. haha. Same price!
So read sizes before judging prices! dont be a mong like me and for a year keep going "i want to try it but its sooo expensive"
manic panic is rubbish it washes out really really fast, i hear. my friends purple lasted ONE wash before going mank
O and Jerome Russell bleach is vegan if you need some. A warning though, theyre so stingy with it!!!
I was just doing my roots and ran out!!!

Haha, cheers guys ! :]
Piratte Ferret especially - cheers for the info. Would one tub of the stargazer stuff surfice to cover a whole head of hair? My hairs longish, about 10inches past my shoulders?
:D Looks like it's blue hair this christmas anyway! :D

My hair is down to the bottom of my boobs so about the same length as yours
I need 2 bottles of stargazer to cover it, 3 if im starting from fresh bleach.
Sooo id say youd need two!
It lasts anyway, long as you put the lid back on. So you can always keep the leftovers if you dont use it all! I tend to hoard the leftover bits, then when im too lazy to buy more dye i cut all the bottles open, mix it together with a bit of conditioner (makes the colour lighter slightly, but just makes it cover more!), and get a random unique colour!
I wish i could dye my hair blue =( I just dont suit blue though.... its been WKD blue coloured before (literally someone held a bottle to my head) from when it was meant to be green, and smurf blue when green went bad again, argh!

Does anybody know of any good semi-permanent hair dye that has natural colors available? All the vegan ones I see are punk colors. I tried the Manic Panic super-natural in Cobra, but it was too light for my hair and the Nefertitti is pretty much the same color as what I have now. I basically just want to add some warmth to my dull dark hair. The only ones I could find are Naturtint, which doesn't have much variety for dark hair and vegetal which washes out in 7-8 shampoos. I'm looking for something that lasts about a month.
