Hey!
First of all, are you sure what it is? There's tons of different skin allergies and diseases out there (and a skin disease or disorder is very different from an allergy). Eczema usually occurs in joints (behind the knees, inside elbows, etc.), where skin allergies could be from a NUMBER of causes (food, environment, even stress!) and can manifest themselves in many different ways.
My sister suffers from severe psoriasis ("plaques" of scaly white skin form all over her body, almost looks like really really bad poison ivy), which is actually an auto-immune disorder that's mechanism works similar to that of rheumatoid arthritis (I'll spare you all the grueling details of the lymphatic system and immunity :p ). It's usually something that manifests in childhood then goes away (which happened to my father and some of his brothers), but she's had it since she was probably 5 or 6 years old and she's 19 now.
Have you seen your doctor or a dermatologist about it? They'd probably know best.
To relieve temporary discomfort now though, I'd recommend oatmeal baths (similar to Aveno, not sure if that's vegan though), or calamine lotion.
Feel better! Skin problems really suck!
E.T.A:: Attached is a picture of me with my sister (she's the one in the pink, I'm wearing the Scorpio shirt :p ) Anyways, you can really see the psoriasis if you scroll down and look at her legs. It's doing much better know, by the way..even though she's on some pretty scary medications!

I had exema so bad when I was little. It looked about the same as chicken pox execept no bumps just sores. It was awfull. Just awfull. I went to a dermitologist and they mixed me up some concoction of cream and that did wonders. It was so long ago...I don't remember what it was. It was something they had to mix up...not something that came premade.
I have this horrible thing I get that is SO itchy. I get these small blisters on my hands and feet. I use a cortizone steroid on it. Works wonders. I could litereally scratch my feet till I had only numbs left. It's that bad. That's what works for me...nothing else.
I have also used Aveno's oatmeal bar soap...that is wonderful stuff now. When I was little the itching got worse after a hot bath...but if I used that it wasn't half as bad. It costs considerable more than most bars of soap and it's kind of small but well worth it. Well worth it.
