I've tried several different brands but they all give me an extremly upset stomach for about an hour after I take it. I've tried taking it on an empty stomach, a full stomach, before I go to bed. Nothing has helped so far.
Does anyone have any suggestions on a multi vitamin that is easy on the tummy?
Thanks!

I always eat one while eating or immediately after eating or my stomach really hurts. How long after you eat are you taking the vitamin?

You could try a children's vitamin. Those always sit better for me.

I usually take them right after eating but I have tried waiting a little while also. I doesn't seem to make a difference.
How many children's vitamins would I have to take to equal an adult multi? I may try this next. I haven't been taking a multi vitamin for a couple of weeks and I really notice a difference in how well I feel.
Thanks!

if you read the package, a lot of children's vitamins have directions for kids and adults on them :) i take a kiddie vitamin.

I'd recommend trying a kiddie one too! And what are you eating when you eat before taking one? Maybe you need more in your stomach? I used to be able to take them on an empty stomach until the last year. Now I get an upset stomach unless I eat a full meal with or before.

I would need to know what brands/formulas you have tried and if you are male or female......and if you are taking gender specific formulas. (Men should not take multi's w/ iron)
Also, make sure you take standardized vitamins. Many formulas have added herbs and phytonutrients. Some can upset your stomach. Also, are you taking a Vegitarian Formula? NOW or Solgar brand has a good vegitarian formula.

maybe something w/ a vegicap? instead of a tablet?
it may be the particular ingredients that irritate you... for example, i cant take something heavy on the spirulina or iron. maybe it is just a case of trying another brand, too.
