There are some great before and after photos in the photo album, and they are all so inspiring.

Does anyone else care to post some? Or even to websites with great pictures. Not just weight loss, but also increased muscle tone.

I took a picture of myself not too long ago (front, back and side) and hope to do so each month and see. I like to see when people have monthly progress shots where you can really see the difference. It's hard to see change when you see yourself each day!

Heh. I was going to say that too. I'm working on October being the "get my butt into gear" month. :p

Thalia, there are some neat ones posted on Dr. McDougall's page, on well, that other veg. site. :shifty:

I prefer to emphasize maximizing good health, with any physical appearance benefits an unintended but certainly welcome side effect.

If I posted any photos of my body, everyone would head for the exits. This would piss Michael off. :D

True, health is the main goal of most exercise, but it's not as motivating. Putting lab results on the fridge each isn't something that will help me to not eat an entire bag of chips. Long-term benefits that are generally intangible in the here and now aren't very good for getting people to make difficult lifestyle changes. That's just how people work. Not the ideal, but the reality.

Now maybe if I had mobility issues and found my self more able to be mobile, or if I had respiratory problems and could breathe better, those would be short-term changes that would matter to me in my day-to-day life. Right now the only change I can notice in the short-term other than appearance is that I sleep better.
