so..this'll sound odd..but exercise used to destress me and leave me feeling good. lately, though, i feel a lot better on the days where i don't exercise.
i can sit still. i feel relaxed and calm. days where i do exercise i feel like im jumping out of my skin all day and don't sleep.

any advice? maybe i should change the things im doing?

i bikeride and life weights, at the moment.

Hmmm, I haven't had that happen to me. The only time I feel something similar is if I work out too close to my bedtime; then I am usually too "pumped up" to go to bed for the next two hours or so. I feel better if I work out in the mornings rather than at night.

Or could it be that something in the conditions that you exercise agitates you? For example, I noticed I enjoy running more really early in the morning when there is few people and cars around (I live in a big city). If I run after work with traffic zooming by, that agitates me.

maybe you need to change your workout a little...find something that is more relaxing.. like yoga..

I agree... a more relaxing workout might be the way to go... swimming is a great idea as well... check out http://www.findyourdetour.com/ for some other great suggestions...

Yoga can be very relaxing for some people and can agitate others.

Taurushead, what does your therapist say? (You ARE in therapy, right?). I'd listen to your therapist about how to relax and reduce all the overwhelming anxiety and obsessiveness that can be very disabling when it permeates every area of ones life.
