When I was just a regular vegetarian, I used to eat Boca polish sausages and such all the time. Is there any vegan sausages (not sausage crumbles) that aren't tiny breakfast size and don't taste like tofu dogs?

Light life makes some pretty good ones that are about the size of a hot dog. They used to be vegan, but I'm not sure if they still are. I haven't had them for over a year.

They have egg whites in them now :P I think Tofurkey came out with some vegan brats, I haven't see them yet....

Yves makes really good vegan sausage links and gimmie lean makes a really good vegan sausage in a tube that is like breakfast sausage.

I really like Gardenburger brand breakfast sausage. They're round breakfast type ones. They make an awesome breakfast sandwich between a english muffin, with a slice of semi-fried tofu and the sauce of your choice.

I think you're asking about a hot dog style sausage though, rereading your post.. I have just found the new Tofurkey brand brats, and they're very good! I've had the Keilbasa so far and just picked up a pack of the Beer Brats. They were very similar to the Boca brand ones that contain egg, so I no longer buy them. The only complaint I had was they're a bit dry, but it's nothing extra sauce doesn't fix. They're delicious though, hope this helps.

Tried the Tofurky beer brats today, nowhere near as good as the Keilbasa flavor, IMO!

Oh. Keilbasa. That was the last meat I ever ate. How I miss the flavor so.

I hope Whole Foods will start carrying Tofurky's! :hungry:
