I'm looking for a winter coat for work, and if I wore wool, could easily buy a long black coat at any store but have a hard time finding coats and jackets without wool or down. A ski jacket might keep me warm, but would definitely not be work appropriate! The only option I've seen so far is the unisex Pangea pea coat, but that would also be too casual for work. I've been checking out the mall and various websites, but so far haven't had any luck! Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Just how much are you willing to spend?
Here is a Faux Shearling winter coat. It is supposed to be plenty warm. I like Lands End because of their awesome return policy (return things whenever, forever), and when things do get returned, they donate them to those in need.

I'm not sure what you do, but those are all fairly professional looking.

Oooh, I love the long faux shearling coat. Not that I really need one, I love my Pangea peacoat (I have the women's one). But it would be nice to have something longer...

I put a rainproof trench coat over my suit http://www.cctaylor.com/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=18 its got a liner in it and is very warm. A fleece jumper, the suit coat and this kind of trench coat over that was warm enough for sub zero Edinburgh winters.

Buy the black one and you'll look like a mobster!
