hi, i've been vegetarian for a couple of months and i've lost a lot of weight. I am 5'9 and weigh 118lbs. I believe this is classified as underweight. I have always had trouble being underweight which I put down to my metabolism but since i've become vegetarian it seems to have gotten worse. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to increase my weight as a vegetarian?

The easiest way is to increase calories through some good fats - nuts, avacados, etc. You can also track your calories on a site like fitday.com and see where you're coming out short.

Eat walnuts, almonds, any of the "good" nuts. Try peanut butter or almond butter on whole grain toast. Hummus on crackers would be good too.

Hm... whjat does you diet look like now, anyway? Can you give examples of what a day of eating would be for you?
Otherwise, count your calories. Probably just plain not getting enough.
