Ok so I'm really shy and weird about like... being out of the ordinary or having people notice me so I don't want to have to carry a lunch box or something like that around. I would rather just carry a paper sack to lunch then throw it away and not have to worry and stress about carrying it back to my locker after lunch. So that said... does anyone have any idea about what I could put in my lunch sack like...main meal wise. Cause I can buy a fruit or veggie at school...but like a sandwhich or something like that. BUT, since I'm using a paper sack... it has to be something that doesn't need to be cold. Ok so a summary....
Not Cold Main Meal Items For Paper Lunch Sack :)
Thanx any suggestions greatly appreciated :)

Veggies like carrots or celery with dip. Put the veggies in a plastic baggie or a reusable container. The dip can be a dressing like ranch but is SO good w/ hummus.
A PB&J like was said above or a PB and banana sandwich.
A Luna bar (or 2). Toss in some dried fruit and an individual box of soy milk and you're in business.
I'll try to think of some more for you.

a luna bar is a delicious really nutrious vegan snack/power bar. a little pricey but so worth it. i third the pb&j/pb&banana and add in pb&apple, although banana is better. any kind of sandwhich would work. if your lacto-ovo you could have eggs salad, cheese, fresh mozzerella with basil and tomato, pita with hummus
i would say pasta salad but they're easiest to carry in a reuseable container, but you could bring them in a plastic bag if you want.
i know you didnt ask for snacks, but crackers are always great, cause they're
1) good
2) crunchy/munchy
3) healthy, depending on what type

When you asked for lunchbox ideas it reminded me of the "Vegan Lunchbox" by Jennifer McCann. Check out the book or visit her website http://www.veganlunchbox.com/index.html for some nice recipes.
I agree with the previous posts and would also pita bread for a sammich or a yummy wrap. Also rice balls are good too and you can put in different fillings like hummus, veggies, etc.
Hope it helps!

Confused,
I know what you mean about feeling shy and weird. I am fairly certain I am the only vegan in my school, and there are less than five people (including myself) who bring their lunch to school. I feel out of place (I'm also a new student, and a shy person, so that does not help). I used to try to hide the fact that I bring my lunch, but then I thought, who cares? So I bring my lunch. Big deal. At least I am not the one eating the fried mystery meats and twinkies!
I usually do not bring a brown paper sack. I have a bag/purse to carry my notebooks, pens, etc., for class, so I slip my lunch in a plastic zip lock bag in it.
As for lunch ideas, here is what I bring:
a tomato, carrot, and hummus whole wheat wrap or a carrot, tomato, lettuce, whole wheat wrap with balsalmic vinagrette (I recommend brining the balsalmic vinagrette or what ever other dressing you like in a separate zip lock bag and then putting it on the wrap at lunch). I also bring some almonds and fruit (bananas and apples are easy to carry).
organic peanut butter topped with raisins in a whole wheat pita, and a banana on the side.
Also, try different things with peanut butter. Someone else I know puts granola and banana slices on her peanut butter. Here is a link that has many different ideas for peanut butter: http://vegweb.com/index.php?board=412.0
For other sandwich or wrap ideas, try this: http://vegweb.com/index.php?board=158.0
If you do not want to carry a container for your food, try wrapping your sandwiches in a papper towel. It keeps all of it together.
Sorry this is so long, but I hope I helped!

Vegetarian wraps are my favorite lunch meal of all time. It acts the same as a sandwich, but I think it's more versatile because it doesn't get soggy if you use certain ingredients (like tomatoes). Most grocery stores will sell large wrap tortillas that are even flavored. You can use a regular tortilla, but it's not as big or tasty.
Try mashing some chickpeas (garbonzo beans, they come in cans or you can cook them yourself) in a bowl and mix it with veganaise or mayonaise. Then add some dijon style mustard if you'd like and even a bit of pickle. Spread it on the tortilla and add whatever veggies you want! I like to use mushrooms, alfalfa sprouts, lettuce, tomato, bell pepper, and cucumber. Wrap it up on both sides like a burrito, and wrap it again in a piece of wax paper and tape it so it's easy to take with you and won't fall apart. Then rip open the wax paper and pull the paper back as you eat, and you have a mess free and nutritious lunch!
Wraps last for a long time even in hot environments from my experience, unless you add cheese. Then it gets nasty around mid day. But I don't like cheese in my wrap anyways.
Try taking a granola bar or an Odwalla bar with you. Odwalla super drinks are nice to have too, especially if you're at school for a long time.
Good luck ;]

Fake meat
I love to cook a chik'n patty the night before, then put it on a roll/hoagie type bread and put lettuce on it. You can also used some kind of dressing on it or if you aren't vegan some mayo.
You can also pack a salad....or any other kind of veggies, penut butter....I love cashews.
There's so much!
Good luck!
